Diego Tantardini, a baker from Milan, Italy, is the REAL DEAL.

He started baking in Italy when he was 15yrs old. There he crafted beautiful breads using only the purest ingredients, with no sugar or preservatives. He discovered a passion for his baking, and for his customers…he’s a baker who really cares.

In 2012 Diego moved to Redding from Milan, Italy with his wife, Deborah, and two children.

During his first year in Redding, Diego frequented many Redding bakeries, restaurants, and eateries, comparing the quality and flavor of the local cuisine to his native European fare. At the same time, Diego noticed a growing population of visitors, like himself, who were coming from Europe and other countries around the world to settle in Redding. He has always been passionate about food and hospitality, and recognized the need for European-style breads and cuisine. So Tantardini’s European Bakery-Deli was born.
