Meet Cristian.

He’s 100% American and 100% Mexican and brings the real Mexican flavor to Redding, but like you’ve never had it before…(I’m not talking Tacos here!)

As a kid, when Christian heard the sound of the local paletero (ice-cream vendor) outside his apartment he’d rush outside, dollar in hand, and stand in line for the sweet Mexican helados (ice-cream) and paletas (popsicles). Hmmm, good times!

At 10 yrs old he and his family moved from Los Angeles to the North State.

At 17 he started working for a local car dealership cleaning cars. The owner recognized Christian’s incredible work ethic and intelligence and encouraged him to become a mechanic. Christian declined, preferring instead to learn the inside of the business, customer service, and sales. His love for people, ability to learn quickly, and desire to make his community a better place made him one of the most valuable team members at the dealership.

Fast forward to adulthood.

His entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude, and work ethic caught his stepdad and niece’s attention. They are franchise owners of La Michoacana in Modesto. They saw that Christian had what it takes to launch this authentic Mexican Ice Cream Parlor into the North State.

That coincided perfectly with COVID!

Undeterred, Christian launched La Michoacana Plus in Redding. At a time when the world was stressed out, Christian brought a joy bomb to the town he loves. Christian is Redding’s own paletero, and your kids will LOVE these authentic Mexican helados and paletas.
