Country Bowl

Anthony’s passion is bowling.

The results speak for themselves. Anthony has achieved a perfect score of 300 more than 110 times. In fact, at 15 yrs. old he shot his first 300! He knows what he’s doing.

Now, as the new owner of Country Bowl, his passion is to share the love of bowling with the North State.

Anthony started bowling at 7 yrs. old. At 15 he was the youngest player (at that time) in Shasta County to shoot a perfect 300 game.

The bigger score, however, was meeting his wife, Tona, in the Northstate Junior Travel League. They first met when he was 14 and she was 12, Anthony bowled for the Redding team while Tona bowled for the Corning team. They were friendly at that time but parted ways when Anthony turned 16 and joined the adult bowling leagues.

As an adult, Anthony opened up a bowling pro shop, and who should start shopping there but Tona! Anthony and Tona started dating at the end of 2013, and, on 4th June 2014, achieved the perfect score, they got married.

Now the couple (along with Tona’s parents Tim and Becky Weston, and family friends Jeff and Lisa Wutzke who are also bowlers) ensure the North State has a tournament-grade, family, and locally owned bowling alley where participants are really able to enjoy, and improve themselves.

“It’s rewarding seeing people you’re helping doing better,” Anthony says.

Seeing the joy and laughter of children, families, and friends at this local landmark is evidence that Country Bowl is fulfilling their vision: it’s becoming a place where people gather, have a good time, enjoy themselves, and do better!

Anthony and Tona’s gift to Redding is a free game of bowling. Show them this gift card to redeem yours.

Enjoy!

Oh, and by the way…if you know anyone who’s looking to buy or sell their home I’d love to give them the 5-Star experience they deserve.
